You may call me Jo, Joey, Jo Potato, get as creative as you’d like. I’m a seeker of light, love, and connection. Lover of the arts. Mover to rhythms of the breath and music. Nourisher. Explorer of this magnificent globe of a home we live on.

As Michelle Obama wrote, “For me, becoming isn’t about arriving somewhere or achieving a certain aim. I see it instead as forward motion, a means of evolving, a way to reach continuously toward a better self. The journey doesn’t end.”

My site used to be called Finding Joanne. It’s now evolved into Becoming Joanne. Instead of the relentless, tiring slog of finding who I am, I believe I already know it in my core. It’s up to me to embody it, slowly but surely. This blog continues to be a documentation of that journey.
